Been a while since I've done anything at this site, so I thought I'd give everyone an update. The band that formed at the party in my last post is now known as Tainted Psyder, and we've already played three open mic nights, the second of which almost leading us to getting arrested. Rock stars already, apparently! More updates to come, many more songs to come, I feel a new wave of inspiration.

Tainted Psyder is pretty much inspired by all music, but the other three kids in the band are completely obsessed with the Grateful Dead, which is why we cover Franklins Tower and I Know You Rider. I'm gonna bring a much darker and heavier sound to this jam band scene. Deep Purple on their A-Game is probably the greatest funky metal of all-time, so maybe a little Ritchie Garcia or Jerry Blackmore would do in this band.

Last Sunday I played a little woods party concert thing, it was pretty epic. Dosin' and drunk playing is always the best, especially improvised soloing for 2 hours with a full band! We ended up forming a band. We've got 4 members, a percussionist (also plays hand drums), a lead guitarist (also plays bass), and a keyboardist (also plays bass and guitar). I'll be playing lead guitar, and probably do most of the singing. I also know the bass, keyboard, and some other random instruments. Maybe a big drum jam?

Anyways, the name of the band (for now) is Funky Stuff and the Crunchy Bunch. The sound is heavy metal mixed with jam band elements and pretty much everything else thrown in. Random techno breakdowns, ethnic vibes such as the sitar, bluegrass and country jams, symphonic film score elements, progressive rock, huge Beatles and Meat Loaf influence...it's gonna be a whole new style of music.

I'll provide songs for projects if anyone needs any. I'd really like to collaborate on a Mario sprite movie with Toad Zombies. Kinda like this picture.
